Morgan “Mo” Beamon was born in 2004 in Indiana and grew up in the suburbs of Illinois. She moved to Chicago for college and discovered that she is a city girl at heart, but still loves home. She makes maximalist abstract art inspired by her love of the intricacies of music and nature. The musical and natural details in her work are intertwined with feelings of nostalgia, spirituality, and a childlike sense of happiness.
She recently graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, getting her BFA in Studio with an emphasis in Painting and Performance. She is going to pursue her Master’s in Secondary Education in hopes of becoming an art teacher.
