Morgan “Mo” Beamon was born in 2004 in Indiana and grew up in the suburbs of Illinois. She moved to Chicago for college and discovered that she is a city girl at heart. She makes maximalist abstract art inspired by her love of the intricacies of music and nature. The musical and natural details in her work are intertwined with feelings of nostalgia, spirituality, and a childlike sense of happiness. She is currently enrolled at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, pursuing her BFA in Studio with an emphasis in Painting and Performance.
